Stenotaphrum secundatum (St. Augustine Grass) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Pernambuco, Alagoas, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, The Contiguous United States, Ceará, Puerto Rico, Eastern North America, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Caatinga. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.9 feet.
