Bothriochloa barbinodis (Cane Bluestem) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, Pampa, The Contiguous United States, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pantanal, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Individuals can grow to 4 feet.
