Beckmannia syzigachne (American Sloughgrass) is a species of annual grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Greenland, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.91 m.
