Axonopus fissifolius (Common Carpetgrass) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mato Grosso, Puerto Rico, Afrotropics, Cerrado, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.049 m.
