Herminium lanceum (Thunb. ex Sw.) Vuijk

Plants slender, 15-60 cm tall. Stem leafy. Leaves 2-3(-4), linear, up to 20 x 1.5 cm. Inflorescence very long and narrow, up to 25 cm long, 0.7-1 cm broad, subsecund. Flowers numerous, ± deflexed, green. Bracts linear-lanceolate, acuminate, exceeding ovary. Dorsal sepal elliptic-oblong, 3.2 x 1.6 mm, forming a loose hood with linear, one-nerved petals; lateral sepals ± spreading 3.0 x 1.2 mm: Petals 3.0 x 0.4 mm. Labellum longer than sepals, linear, ± constricted in the middle, apical portion trifid, side-lobes variable in length but always longer than the small, triangular midlobe, straight or slightly curved inwards. Ovary sessile, slightly twisted, apex with a knee-like bent.
