Erythronium americanum (Dogtooth Violet) is a species of perennial herb in the family Liliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Red-necked False Blister Beetle, Andrena tridens, Nomada luteoloides, and Andrena hippotes. Individuals can grow to 0.15 m.
