Juniperus virginiana (Eastern Juniper) is a species of shrub in the family Cupressaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to North America, United States, Eastern North America, northern hemisphere, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, scale leaf leaves, green flowers, and drupes. Flowers are visited by Cedar Waxwing. Individuals can grow to 50 feet.
