Slo.: noroglavka, svinjski goban. - Habitat: Alpine grassland with scattered young Picea abies and different shrubs, S exposed slope, calcareous ground, fairly sunny, exposed to direct rain, average precipitations ~3.000 mm/year, average temperature 6-8 deg C, elevation 805 m (2.650 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: soil. - Comment: Characteristic dark red flesh in stipe base.
