Image of woolly bluecurls

Description:

Trichostema lanatumwoolly bluecurls. A beautiful shrub for the garden. Roots must be kept dry. Replant frequently from cuttings (seeds are difficult) as the shrub is short-lived. One garden book suggests planting with matilja poppies and bush poppies for a stunning display. The spikes will enliven any vase of cut flowers. Or. you could leave it in the ground, few flowers look better in the cross-lighting of morning or evening sun. A David Douglas collection. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
