Image of Broom Seed Beetle

Description:
On almost every flower (>80%) there were one to (usually) several of these slate grey beetles. Some were resting, one clearly feeding on an anther, the others presumably most interested in the nectaries. The beetles drop when disturbed. They were also on flowers of lemonwood elsewhere in the reserve (see this observation). Scotch broom (Cytisus scoparius)
