The Tiger Stingray or Raya Tigre is native to some rivers in the western Amazon basin. It is a colorful favorite with aquariums, in this case in Vancouver. Often denoted as P. menchacai, a troubled taxon. In context at www.dixpix.ca/Amazon/fauna/riverlife/index.html
