Libelloides longicornis (4823' N 1532' E)
Description:
2011-06-11 Lower Austria, district Krems-Land (dry meadow, 310 msm Quadrant 7659/1).German name: Langfhleriger SchmetterlingshaftQuite rare, and only occurring on warm places like this one - Wachau vineyards, southerly exposed, steep hills with rocky surface. Supposedly, their wings are only spread in cooler weather - it was quite warm when I took this shot but possibly the clouds passing by at the time motivated this one to open its beautiful wings.
