Description:

Description: Introduced, warm-season, perennial, robust, hairy grass, to 2 m tall; with stolons (to 5 m long) that are capable of growing over bushes and small trees. A native of Africa or America, it is scattered throughout the North Coast, but more common in the far north. Found in drains, along roadsides and waterways and in other wet areas.
