Description:
Description: English: This is a photo I took of a Apolomado Falcon ,on a fishing trip to Padre Island National Seashore in south Texas. The Aplomado Falcon was once common in dry grasslands of the southwestern United States, but it's now endangered in the U.S. and is being reintroduced in south Texas. What makes this photo so amazing, is the fact that it has bands on both legs. Bands are used by researchers to track the movements of individual birds to provide a better understanding of their life cycles and migrations. Date: 15 November 2019, 00:45:35. Source: Own work.
