Description:

Description: In this area north of Big Timber, one of the Bozoisky wildrye cultivars of Russian wildrye was planted after native sagebrush steppe was ripped out, according to Jerry Iveson of Big Timber, who knew the former owner of this land and who converted it to this expansive exotic grass stand. Bozoisky wildrye apparently contrasts in palatability to smooth brome and crested wheatgrass and other exotic perennial grasses planted in the sagebrush steppe biome. Date: 1 August 2020, 02:30.
