Dholes vs water monitor
Description:
Description: The giant Water monitor did not let the Dholes chase him away from the Sambar carcass. The Asian Wild dogs killed the deer the night before, and the monitor scavenged on the meat of the large Sambar deer. At present, the Dholes are the top predators of Khao Yai national park. Tigers are (nearly?) extirpated from the forests of Khao Yai, so it's up to the dogs to keep the deer, wild boar, and even the gaur population healthy. Date: 8 January 2013. Source: [1]. Author: [2].
