The men who tag the whales came from the Faroese National Heritage, the Náttúrugripasavnið, Søvn Landsins. The purpose is for scientists to be able to follow the migration of the whales in order to get a better picture of where they travel, how far they travel and so on. The whales were driven out on open sea after the tagging. Pilot whales which have been tagged must not be killed. Date: 2 October 2012, 16:01:17. Source: Own work. Author: EileenSanda.
