Description: English: Introduced, perennial, erect, tufted rush, 25-65 cm tall. Leaves are similar to the stems; solid, 0.5-1.3 mm wide and semi-cylindrical with a longitudinal groove. Flowerheads are 2-6 cm long, with (at most) one leaf-like bract longer than the flowerhead. Straw-brown to golden-brown flowers are usually solitary along the branches and 5-25 in number; their tepals are about the same length as the capsule. Flowering is in spring and summer.
