Three moths was all I could muster on Thursday night, about average from what others have been catching so I can't moan and I know plenty of you have had empty traps on some occasions. With Star Wars season nearly upon us and not Christmas (I refuse to put my decorations up just yet) The head of the December Moth reminded me so much of probably the most annoying character in the Star Wars universe, hairy Chewbacca. It was a nice big fat female December Moth to boot. I can remember vividly seeing my first female, so this is only my second ever in 9 years. I will try again into next week as milder air pushes up from the continent once more.
