Description: English: A taxidermied leatherback sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) from Siglap Beach, Singapore, in 1883, at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, National University of Singapore. This 1.75-metre specimen is the only known sighting of the species in Singapore to date. It was presented to the Raffles Museum (now the National Museum of Singapore) by Allan Maclean Skinner, Colonial Treasurer and a member of the Straits Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society.
