Description: NT57 records: Newbyth, East Lothian, Scotland. NT591796 Small slender female Cheilosia without projecting facial hair. Tarsi pale except end segment. Eyes bare. legs partly yellow = 'pagana' group Dark scutellar bristles present so not latifrons. Dull 3rd antennal segment so not pagana and soror. No clear view from above of the facial knob unfortunately so this feature can't be used here to separate longula and scutellata. Third antennal segment paler at tip than base points to scutellata, as does the clear yellow basal tarsal segments. Date: 21 July 2012, 11:54. Source: Cheilosia cf. scutellata (female). Author: S.
