Image of Centroscyllium

Image of Centroscyllium

Description:

Description: Dogshark (family Squalidae) from off Angola. Looks very much like the widely distributed Centroscyllium fabricii, known from 200-1,600 m, including off W. Africa. Colour, robustness, caudal fin (tail), size and placement of dorsal fins are all right - to confirm the species we would need a better image to see spines on leading edges of dorsal fins.
