Semple.Other common names: Hairy Golden Aster, Hairy false goldenasterSynonyms include: Chrysopsis villosa var. minor and Chrysopis villosa var. hispida A common but welcome native plant species that is important to health of foothill communities and which may be helping to keep the non-native invasive species at bay. Useful and interesting plant to grow from seed and for landscaping and for revegetation projects. Occurs over a wide elevation range and is found in all counties in Utah.August 16, 2011, Wasatch foothills, Salt Lake County, Utah at approx. 5185 ft. elev.*Taxonomy has changed. This is probably H. zionensis.
