Description: Español: Limnoperna fortunei es un bivalvo invasor asiatico, epifaunal (que vive adherido sobre sustrato duro por fibras proteica llamadas biso). Usa como superficie a todo sustrato duro disponible, artificial o natural. En este caso utiliza la concha de un bivalvo nativo que normalmente queda fuera del sedimento. Esta especie nativa no puede ni abrir ni cerrar las valvas, ni enterrarse, ni salir del sedimento. Ese ejemplar morira.
