Neat habitat shot.

Wrong genus, probably wrong family (not periwinkle).

Maggie Whitson commented on "File:White Cistus cultivar2.jpg":
These are periwinkle flowers (probably Catharanthus roseus).
-
Maggie Whitson commented on "File:Malvales - Cistus ladanifer - kew 3.jpg":
The white flower looks like C. ladanifer. The pink flower is probably a hybrid: Cistus purpureus ( White with spots C. ladanifer x pink but unspotted C. incanus creticus).

Maggie Whitson commented on "060605 台北 新店 四崁水 細紋圓窗黃尺蛾 Corymica spatiosa Prout, 1925 Male":
Corymica spatiosa and Corymica arnearia are not synonyms, as far as I can tell, so the fact that the caption calls this one thing but the photo is coming out under another is worrisome.

Maggie Whitson commented on "Ragworms; Zagers.":
This photo should not be showing up under the Geometridae (moths).
-
Maggie Whitson commented on "Furcula Borealis Caterpillar":
This "name" is an error. "Furcula Borealis Caterpillar" is not the scientific name of the organism, it is the title of the photo.

Maggie Whitson commented on "Camellia pitardii var. yunnanica":
Treated as Camellia reticulata Lindley, Bot. Reg. 13: t. 1078. 1827. in the Flora of China.

That seems to be some bizarre mutation for lobed foliage that was selected for horticulture.

Maggie Whitson commented on "File:Morris Arboretum Camellia japonica.JPG":
All I see here is Solomon's Seal foliage (Polygonatum, maybe)

Maggie Whitson commented on "File:Camellia crapnelliana fruit.jpg":
Notice that the caption says Camellia granthamiana. That's not the same species as C. crapnelliana, so I'm not sure why this photo is being classed as C. crapnelliana. The two species look similar (white flowers, big brown fruit) so it's hard to tell which one this photo actually is.
