About me
I am a researcher at the University of Maryland's Biology Department and a post-doctoral fellow at the Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center in Annapolis. My main interests are in tracking large-scale impacts of climate and land-use change on biodiversity. My focal community is butterflies, but I've also worked with bird data. My other main focus is in making data and resources available to both the public and scientific community. I believe that to be able to make broad generalizations, we need to include life history and ecological characteristics in cross-species analyses. Sites like the Encyclopedia of Life allow broad dissemination of species-level information to both the public and scientific community
