His momma been messin' around with some jordani...P. shermani and P. teyahalee hybridize here. This salamander was from a high elevation, thus exhibiting a phenotype more similar to P. shermani, but it also had significant red coloration on both cheeks--a trait associated with P. jordani and seen on only a few individuals at Coweeta.
