A suffruticose perennial, intricately branched from a woody base; stems numerous, 1.5-2 dm. high, scabrous-puberulent; leaves mostly alternate, linear-oblanceolate, about 5-8 mm. long, 1 mm. wide, obtuse, hispidulous-scabrous; heads terminating the branches; involucre about 3 mm. high and 5 mm. broad; bracts linear-oblanceolate, boat-shaped below, scabrouspuberulent, acute; ray-flowers none; disk-flowers about 30; corollas bright-yellow, 2 mm. long; tube glandular, slightly shorter than the campanulate throat; achenes oblong, hirsutulous; pappus wanting.
