Kara Kurbağası

The eggs were removed from the pond for photographic purposes and then the tadpoles were released after hatching. This is the third in a short series illustrating the development of the embryos.

This pair of toads was taking a brief rest at the pond surface while spawning (I am unsure if the spawn string that is visible was from this pair). Photo was taken approximately 5 hours after dark.
