Epiphytic, or rarely lithophytic,
herbs, without pseudobulbs. Leaves distichous. Inflorescence
axillary, usually a raceme, sometimes branched. Flowers white, green
or yellow. Sepals and petals free, ± spreading. Lip
entire, rarely obscurely 3-lobed, concave, spurred, the base
enveloping the column. Pollinia 2.
