Redescription of holotype A female with enlarged ovarian eggs; general aspect globulose, snout-vent length 33.2 mm, maximum width and depth 17.6 mm and 13.0 mm, respectively; head very small and pointed, triangular as viewed from above, width at jaws 6.5 mm, length (along side) 6.3 mm; snout very prominent, projecting well beyond mouth and with a rounded tip, distance fro111 anterior corner of eye to tip of snout 4.1 mm; nostrils lateral, subcircular, 2.8 mm from eye and 1.3 mm from tip of snout; canthus rostralis rounded, loreal region vertical; eyes very small, 1.5 mm in diameter, pupils circular; interorbital space 3.7 mm; eyelid 1.0 rnln wide and indistinct; no visible tympanum; tongue elliptical, free posteriorly, well back in mouth; choanae below eyes; no vomerine teeth, two transverse palatal ridges. Arms short, foreaims stout; palm thick, two faint metacarpal tubercles of which the outer is larger; digits cylindrical, unwebbed, and without lateral fringes, 2nd and 4th equal in length, subarticular tubercles indistinct and visible only basally, tips of fingers stout and round but without disks; hind limb and foot short and stout, heels not meeting when thighs are perpendicular to the body, no tarsal fold, a single indistinct metatarsal tubercle (inner); toes cylindrical, in order 4 > 3 > 5 > 2 > 1 respectively 7.2, 4.8, 3.8, 2.2, and 1.3 mm in length, base of the 4th very broad; subarticular tubercles scarcely visible, tips of toes round and very slightly enlarged (about 0.1 inm wider than digit below tip), without disks or grooves, no webs; skin damaged and faded, brown persisting on the hind limbs, a very dense reticulation of brown visible dorsally under magnification; only with great difficulty can one perceive that the venter was spotted.
