Plant 15-45 cm tall, stems slender, flexuous, usually branched, glabrous. basal leaves linear, c. 15-16 cm long. Spike loose, usually 5-8 flowered, rachis flexuous, flowers secund. Bracts c. 6-13 mm long, whitish or purplish. Flowers c. 3.0 cm long, scented, white, greyish white, greenish yellow or yellowish tinged orange; segments dull purple externally and with purple line down centre. Lower segments marked with brownish-yellow. Anthers pale yellow.
