Recorded from the edge of escarpments of Western Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 14000 km2

Open forest, woodland and grassland. Often seeks refuge beneath boulders and in cracks in the rock surface. Males call November to late January from exposed positions upon the rock face. Breeding takes place in pools and rock crevices. Eggs are unknown.
