Hypselobarbus pulchellus (Day 1870)

Feeds on submerged vegetative feeders, such as, Chara, Hydrilla and Vallisneria (Ref. 56215). Recorded as having been or being farmed in rice fields (Ref. 119549).

Inhabits deeper part of large streams and rivers along the base of ghats (Ref. 41236).
