Warbling Vireos building a nest (47890246741)

Description: Andy and I shared the joys of watching two Warbling Vireos make a nest today at Willmore Park in St. Louis City. Whenever one would get near the nest with more material to add, she/he would make what we call the 'cranky' call (we think this is a witchy-poo like call used to scare off any spies - didn't work on us) then hop up to the nest real quick and add the bit of fluff they'd collected - probably from the cottonwood trees that were letting loose cotton all over the place, although we did see them grab spiderwebs for the nest, too. When the male had successfully added some material, he'd rush off and sing a very snappy lilting mozart-like short piece before collecting more material.
