Verbesina encelioides (Golden Crownbeard) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Monarch, Burnsius oileus, Papilio polyxenes asterius, and Gulf Fritillary. Individuals can grow to 0.83 m.
