It is a glabrous or sparingly hairy herb with many from the base when young. Leaves are petiolate, with 3-7 pairs of linear-oblong to -cuneate leaflets with truncate-mucronate apex. Flowers 1-2, very rarely 3, axillary, with yellow corolla twice as long as the calyx and sometimes pink-veined standard. The fruit is a compressed, straight or curved, linear, papillate-hairy pod with 5-10 segments. Seeds are curved to semicircular, brown, smooth.
