They are native to Espirito Santo, RondôNia, Bahia, Amazônia, Caatinga, Mato Grosso, Piauí, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Acre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro, and Minas Gerais. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 26 m.
