Senna silvestris is a species of tree in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Caatinga, Espirito Santo, Pará, Amapá, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Maranhao, Paraná, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Alagoas, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Tocantins, GoiáS, Roraima, RondôNia, and Pantanal. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
