Juncus effusus (Soft Rush) is a species of perennial grass in the family rushes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to North America, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, Alaska, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, SãO Paulo, Western North America, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Flowers are visited by White-tailed bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 6.6 feet.
