Solidago velutina californica (California Goldenrod) is a subspecies of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Tharsalea helloides, Hylephila phylaeus, Bat MERS-like coronavirus, and Gray Hairstreak.
