Adiantum capillus-veneris (Maidenhair Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Pteridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as endangered by COSEWIC. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mata Atlântica, and Hawaii. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.7 feet. They have alternation of generations.
