Actinostachys pennula (Ray Fern) is a species of herb in the family comb ferns. It is native to the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Roraima, Santa Catarina, Rondônia, São Paulo, Amazônia, Rio de Janeiro, Cerrado, Ceará, Pernambuco, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Distrito Federal, Pará, Mata Atlântica, Paraíba, Paraná, Amazônia, Amapá, Tocantins, Sergipe, Mato Grosso, and Rio Grande do Norte. It is a photoautotroph.
