Rumex obtusifolius (Broad Leaved Dock) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Yugoslavia, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, Poland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Portugal, Czech Republic, Norway, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Moldova, China, Sweden, Hungary, France, Albania, Bulgaria, Iran, Turkey, Romania, The Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Spain, central europe, Switzerland, Algeria, Belarus, Greece, Georgia, and Latvia. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Xylota sylvarum, Marsh Hoverfly, Melanostoma scalare, and Syritta pipiens. Individuals can grow to 0.55 m.
