Adansonia digitata (African Baobab) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Zanzibar bushbaby, Gambian Epauletted Fruit Bat, African Straw-colored Fruit Bat, and Pteropus seychellensis comorensis. Individuals can grow to 21 m.
