Viola tricolor is a species of annual herb in the family Violaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Bombus rufocinctus, Rhingia campestris, Osmia aurulenta, and Bombus distinguendus. Individuals can grow to 0.19 m.
