Turnera pumilea (Yellow Alder) is a species of annual herb in the family Passifloraceae. It is native to Puerto Rico, Rio de Janeiro, Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Maranhao, Rio Grande do Norte, Tocantins, Roraima, Mata Atlântica, Caatinga, Goiás, Piauí, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, and the Americas. It is a photoautotroph.
