Ribes sanguineum (Red Flowering Currant) is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Anna's Hummingbird, Andrena hemileuca, Battus philenor hirsuta, and Black Tail Bumble Bee. Individuals can grow to 12 feet.
