Ribes americanum (American Black Currant) is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Juvenal's Duskywing. Individuals can grow to 15 feet.
