Capsella bursa-pastoris (Shepherd's Purse) is a species of annual herb in the family crucifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Europe. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Melanostoma mellinum, Syritta pipiens, ants, and Mallota cimbiciformis. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
